Craig Ranch parks

Embracing the ‘unique by nature’ saying of our city, Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX has several amazing parks spread out through our master-planned community, and each one is a little different. So you know what makes each of the Craig Ranch parks unique by nature, we’re going to give you a brief overview of each of them.

Collin McKinney Park

This planned park is to be named after Collin County’s namesake and will actually feature a replica of the original home of Collin McKinney. This will be a great park to go to if you want to also learn some more information about McKinney and its founder.

Crape Myrtle Park

A true rarity, Crape Myrtle Park is the only place in the world known to have all 120 varieties of crape myrtles. This beautiful park covers 7 acres of our master-planned community. Who says you have to go all the way to the Dallas Arboretum to see breathtaking flowers?

Dr. Kenneth Cooper Park

If you’re looking to try and get into shape, but don’t want to necessarily workout inside at the Craig Ranch Fitness and Spa, you can always go to Dr. Kenneth Cooper Park! With a half-mile rubberized track, it’s the perfect outdoor place to run in Craig Ranch.

Millie Cooper Park

Ideal for a casual stroll through nature, the one-acre Millie Cooper Park has open green space and beautiful landscape. If you want to just take in all that nature has to offer, then you’ll certainly love this park.

K-9 Corral Park

While all the Craig Ranch parks are dog-friendly, the K-9 Corral Park is specifically designed for our four-legged residents. This one-acre dog park has a small dog section as well as a big dog section so your pooch can play with dogs that it’s comfortable playing with.

Rowlett Creek Park

Our most secluded park, the 30-acre Rowlett Creek Park is filled with trees, flowers and walking trails. Winding alongside white-rock Rowlett Creek, this park features a play structure, pavilion and plenty of space for the whole family!

Throckmorton Park

At the center of The Settlement, Throckmorton Park offers an abundance of green space that’s perfect for a pickup football, soccer or kickball game. It’s also the perfect place for a family picnic.

Van Tuyl Plaza and Veterans Memorial Park in McKinney

A prime spot for community events like festivals, weekend farmers’ markets and more, the Van Tuyl Plaza and Veterans Memorial Park is the perfect place to host an event. It also features a Wall of Honor, which is inscribed with the names of Collin County servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of our freedom.

These are the 8 current Craig Ranch parks, but our various amenities also offer many ways to be unique by nature at Craig Ranch. If you’d like to learn more about our master-planned community, contact Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX today.
