We all have people in our life that we are grateful for, and we want them to know how much we appreciate them. To help you do just that, our master-planned community is sharing a few simple and fun ideas of how to show your gratitude!

Write a ‘Thank You’ Letter

This may seem like such a simple task, but it can really make a big impact on someone. Let them know how much you appreciate all that they’ve done for you by writing them a letter and sending through the mail. By handwriting the message, you’re showing the person that they mean that much more to you!

Volunteer for a Cause

Whether it’s at a soup kitchen or with an emergency relief team, giving back is a great way to show your gratitude for the things you have. This can also put things into perspective, and you’ll feel better knowing that you served rather than being served.

Pay for the Person Behind You in Line

Like the idea of paying it forward, pay for the person’s food or drink who is behind you in line. You’d be surprised how much this could improve someone’s day, and they’ll more than likely pay for the person behind them.

Be There for Someone in a Tough Spot

If you know someone who is going through a tough time in their life, give them a call. Just by being there for them to talk to can be a big stress reliever. Sometimes it’s the simple act of doing nothing and just listening that can have the greatest impact.

Hand Sandwiches Out to the Homeless

Go out and buy a dozen sandwiches and hand them out to the homeless. For safety, do this with a group of people, and each of you can bring a few sandwiches. You’d be surprised how something as simple as a bologna sandwich can completely make someone’s day when they don’t have much.

This is the season of giving back and showing your gratitude, and these ideas will help you do just that!
