At Craig Ranch, Great Golf Means Giving Back

It’s not enough to be named one of the 10 best golf courses in Texas and rated one of the top private courses in the country by Golf Digest.

It’s not enough to be one of only two golf courses in Dallas-Fort Worth certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, guaranteeing a beautiful and natural golfing experience.

At TPC Craig Ranch, the golfers are driven to give back to their community – and their country – through multiple high-profile charity events each year.

The best example is Birdies for the Brave, which brings PGA Tour champion Phil Mickelson’s vision to TPC Craig Ranch. In 2005, Mickelson started donating $100 for each birdie or $500 for each eagle to Homes For Our Troops and Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Now, donations are made through annual benefit tournaments at TPC clubs like Craig Ranch.

Each year, service members attend the tournament at Craig Ranch – for free. As part of the program, the club also has given a lifetime membership to a service member.

The club shuts down for Birdies for the Brave and raises tens of thousands of dollars each year. TPC Craig Ranch launched its annual tournament in 2006. This year’s tournament was August 22nd.

Since starting up its annual tournaments in 2006, TPC Craig Ranch has raised nearly $500,000 for Birdies for the Brave.
