Did you know that McKinney’s downtown is one of the oldest in Texas? The commercial district of downtown offers more than 100 unique shops that are great for an afternoon stroll, a view of one-of-a-kind art, finding gifts or furnishing your home.

In addition to the shops, stays and dining options, downtown also puts on events regularly. Two of their upcoming events include Red, White and BOOM and Downtown McKinney Explorer Club. Red, White and BOOM is the biggest 4th of July celebration this side of Texas – and if you ask us, the best one! The day kicks off with a parade right in the middle of downtown and resumes in our very own community. Downtown McKinney Explorer Club encourages kids to get outside and explore the community around them by following a guidebook of free, fun activities!

Not in the mood to shop or eat? Walk your dog and take in the sights. The eclectic homes and lush landscapes will make you reminiscent of the 80s. Historic Downtown McKinney is a fun place to be day or night, so we hope you take our advice and visit!

Be a part of this great city by moving to our community today! Stop by the Craig Ranch Information Center at 6850 TPC Drive, Suite 104 for a tour or take a look at our new home inventory list to learn more.
